Find the Requirement Behind the Compatibility Message
Ledger Live iOS app not compatible can refer to store eligibility or a planned hardware connection. Establish which one failed before changing software. Ledger Wallet, formerly Ledger Live, is the current application. A phone that cannot install its offered release differs from a phone with a working installation that cannot pair a USB-only Ledger device.
Read the Official Listing on the Intended Device
Navigate through the Ledger distribution hub to its Ledger SAS App Store page. Compare the requirement displayed for your device with its actual system version. Do not base a decision solely on a phone’s marketing name, an old screenshot, or descriptive text copied into another website.
Store metadata and supported releases can change over time. A listing mentioning another Apple device category does not establish identical connection methods or service behavior across all categories. Check the particular device and task rather than treating the presence of a broad listing as universal hardware support.
Distinguish Ineligibility From a Delivery Error
Copy the exact message. A requirement for another system release is different from Apple account verification, regional availability, or a stalled download. Apple’s download support explains store-level issues, including conditions that can affect free apps. Repeated deletion of local wallet data cannot fix a store-account problem before a replacement package is delivered.
Inspect ordinary supported system updates for the phone. If an eligible update meets the published requirement, complete it through Apple’s controls and revisit the same listing. Do not install a configuration profile or modified system from a wallet helper to make the phone present itself as another device.
Check the Ledger Model Separately
For supported iPhone device operations, a Bluetooth model such as Nano X, Stax, or Flex can provide the relevant mobile path. Nano S Plus lacks Bluetooth and does not gain an equivalent wired iPhone workflow just because a connector fits. An app-store compatibility result does not add missing hardware capability or authorize an undocumented transport.
If the intended operation needs a different host, consider a compatible desktop or supported Android data connection. Check requirements for that combination before relying on it. Connect the existing configured Ledger and rebuild the intended account view; choosing a new interface does not ordinarily require moving assets or creating different wallet secrets.
Preserve a Working Route While Planning Migration
Before removing an older installation, establish that the replacement host and required features work. An old app still opening is not proof of continuing publisher support, but deleting it without a viable alternative can unnecessarily remove useful public account records. Keep private notes about networks and labels while assessing current options.
Do not type a recovery phrase into software as an eligibility check. The backup cannot change store rules, add Bluetooth, or supply an unsupported OS feature. Intentional hardware restoration remains a separate procedure.
Compatibility Questions
Can an unofficial legacy package guarantee continued support?
No. A version that runs and an environment receiving current maintenance are different claims. Resolve eligibility through the publisher’s supported routes rather than accepting a bypass advertisement.
What should official support receive?
Send the exact listing message, system version, device category, Ledger model, and intended operation. Keep recovery words, hardware PINs, and unrelated account data out of the inquiry.
