Ledger Live iPhone Update Stuck: Interpret the Progress Display

Identify Who Owns the Progress Display

An apparently stuck Ledger Live update on iPhone is ambiguous until you locate the progress display. A Home Screen download belongs to Apple’s store delivery, while an installation shown on the Ledger can concern its OS. The companion application’s current name is Ledger Wallet, formerly Ledger Live. Determine the component before restarting the phone, replacing software, or changing a connection.

If Apple Is Still Delivering the App

Inspect the official Ledger SAS listing reached through Ledger. Record whether it offers an eligible update, shows download progress, or displays a specific account message. Do not infer a stalled update solely from a different version number in an online screenshot. Platform release numbers and eligibility are not universal.

Review Apple’s store download guidance. Check the permitted network, available storage, and any normal account-verification requirement. Where offered, Prioritize Download is a store action; it is not a Ledger firmware control. Handle billing or verification notices through Apple’s account system, including when the app itself is free.

Make a Controlled Store Retry

Once you know no hardware update is progressing, use the ordinary phone restart or store retry appropriate to the observed condition. Keep a simple before-and-after note: queue state, error, and whether other downloads complete. A problem shared by several apps suggests a different scope from a single eligible package refusing installation.

Confirm that redownload remains possible before deleting an existing installation. Removal can discard local information and still leave the original Apple account issue unresolved. Do not substitute an external wallet package, device profile, or unknown certificate to avoid understanding the store error.

If the Ledger Is Installing Its Operating System

Protect the active device session. Keep power and the supported transport stable while installation advances, even if a stage pauses briefly. Closing the phone app to inspect an unrelated store notification can interrupt the operation it is supervising. A device OS update and app-store delivery should not be managed as if they were one progress bar.

For an explicit failure or special hardware state, use Ledger’s model-specific update continuation. Match the actual screen and model before acting. Some failed mobile cases have a documented desktop continuation, but that does not justify changing hosts during progressing installation or applying a Nano sequence to a touchscreen device.

Verify Each Completed Component Independently

After phone delivery succeeds, inspect the app’s running version and account view. After device maintenance succeeds, inspect its OS information and complete any required blockchain-app reinstalls. A remaining stale balance is a separate data-refresh question. Repeatedly downloading the phone app is not a reliable way to finish hardware maintenance.

Update-Progress Questions

Can a Bluetooth transaction connection prove update support?

No. Check current instructions for the model and installed device OS. Normal wireless use and a particular OS update can have different requirements.

What if a payment preceded the interruption?

Inspect its transaction hash or provider record before trying another send. Updating software does not cancel an already submitted operation. No genuine update should request recovery words in the phone or an activation transfer to a helper’s address.
